Experience Jesus here

Liberty Tabernacle is an Apostolic Pentecostal church based in New Whiteland, Indiana. If you need a miracle, you've come to the right place. We want to bring heaven to earth and make Jesus real in your life. We've seen countless miracles—blind eyes opened, wheelchairs emptied, cancer healed, new kidneys created, marriages restored, etc. And we believe that Jesus can do a miracle for you, too!

Mission and vision

Our mission at Liberty is to know Him and make Him known. We advance this mission by learning about Jesus through regular study of His word and by making disciples. All that we are and all that we do is to advance this purpose because that is what Jesus commanded: "Go and make disciples of all nations" (Matthew 28:19).

Your journey here starts with connection: connecting with Jesus and connecting with Liberty. We'd love to meet you and get you connected to what's happening at Liberty, like worship services or ministry events.

Next, you'll grow: grow in your relationship with Jesus and grow in your knowledge of the Bible. We have specific classes to help give you a strong foundation because knowledge is power.

Then, you'll have plenty of opportunities to serve because everyone has a gifting (1 Corinthians 12). We want to help identify what you're interested in and seeing how you can use that to help us build relationships and make disciples.

And throughout your entire journey at Liberty, God will help you to build relationships and make disciples. Again, this is our singular focus and reason for existing.

Beliefs
About the Bible

We believe the Bible is inspired by God, and is the infallible (never failing, always correct) Word of God. All doctrine (belief system) for the church is found within its pages. (2 Timothy 3:16)

About God

There is only God, and His name is Jesus. He has revealed Himself as our Father, the Son of God in redemption (salvation from our sins), and the Holy Ghost (also known as the Holy Spirit) at work in the world today. Jesus Christ is the fullness of everything that God is manifested (or revealed) in human form. (Deuteronomy 6:4; John 14:9; Ephesians 4:4-6; Colossians 2:9; 1 Timothy 3:16)

About sin and salvation

Everyone has sinned (me, you, your loving grandmother, your mean neighbor) and needs salvation (to be set free from sin). Salvation only comes by grace through faith based on the atoning sacrifice of Jesus Christ. (Romans 3:23-25; 6:23; Ephesians 2:8-9)

About the gospel

Gospel generically means good news. When we talk about THE Gospel we mean the good news that Jesus died for our sins, was buried, and rose again. We obey the gospel by repentance (becoming dead to our sin), water baptism in the name of Jesus Christ (burial), and receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost (resurrection). (1 Peter 4:17; 1 Corinthians 15:1-4; Acts 2:4, 37-39; Romans 6:3-4)

About Christian living

As Christians we are to love God and others. We should live a holy life inwardly and outwardly, and worship God joyfully. The supernatural gifts of the Spirit, including healing, are for the church today. (Mark 12:28-31; II Corinthians 7:1; Hebrews 12:14; I Corinthians 12:8-10.)
